Silverplater is formulated for use on the finest Sterling and Silver plate. It restores by re-plating worn areas with PURE SILVER. Makes tarnished items look new again. Silverware need never wear out when cleaned with Silverplater.

Prepare the base metal, (Copper, Brass, Etc.), by polishing with an non-abrasive metal polish like our all purpose E-Z Shine Metal Polish.

Shake well before and during application.

Apply SILVERPLATER with a soft clean cloth and rub object briskly.

Wash with Hot Water

Dry with a soft cloth.

Wear Rubber Gloves when using the product.

Keep off of all painted and varnished items.

I was very concerned when I first bought this chandelier that the metallic coating had been ruined from time and from my initial cleanup with a different brand of silver polish and that I would not be able to restore it except by spending hundreds of dollars for a kit and materials from Caswell. I couldn't be happier that the restoration will be so easy and so inexpensive. The chandelier is one of a set of four coordinated lighting fixtures that were used in a posh apartment building in Canada. There are two sconces and a much larger chandelier with literally dozens of lights that make up the set.
Here is a close up of the one arm where I
tested literally just a very few drops of Silverplater on an old handkerchief and was amazed how in just a few light rubbings, the tarnish was easily removed and a beautiful new coat of silver was laid down. The new silver is where the camera light is reflecting so strongly. I know it was re-plated and not just
that the tarnish was removed. I did a second test on a brass or bronze chandelier I have to see if it would electroplate. Some of the high ridges in the
embossed pattern began to turn silver as I rubbed it, so I know the solution does in fact put down silver. For the silver chandelier, the first drop on the handkerchief pretty much rubbed off all the tarnish. The additional drops and rubbings put down the new silver. The results are amazing.

Perfect results take no more effort than dusting and, as I said, literally just one drop of fluid was used for each pass.
